| Judge Anita Harold Ashley held Circuit Court in Calhoun County on July 31, with a busy one day docket, according to prosecutor Shannon Johnson.
Brian Burrows appeared for a Status Hearing. The parties reported that they were close to reaching a resolution in the case and the Court set the matter for entry of a possible plea on August 12th.
Christopher Lamp, Loralee (Brown) Lamp, Jedidiah Stutler, Grover Knight, Robby Lamp, Patty Sampson, and Seth Wease all appeared for Pre-Trial Hearings. Their cases were continued to August 13th for Jury Selection and Jury Trial.
Joey Barnett did not appear for his pre-trial hearing. There is still an active bench warrant for his arrest.
Darren Parsons appeared for Arraignment. His case was set for Jury Selection and Jury Trial on August 20th.
Zachary Bell appeared for a Pre-Trial Hearing. The court reduced his bond to five thousand dollars ($5000.00) cash, surety, or property with a condition of home confinement. His case is set for trial on August 13th.
Robert Beckett appeared for a First Appearance. His case was set for Arraignment on August 12th.
Rick Boatright appeared for a Pre-Trial Hearing. The parties announced that they had reached a plea agreement and his case was set for Entry of a Plea on August 12th.
Christian Cottrell, Jonathan McIntyre, Josh May, Johnny Blosser, Keith Moore, Christopher Sampson, and Tara Metz appeared for Pre-Trial Hearings. Their cases were set for Jury Selection and Jury Trial on August 20th.
Shawn Parsons appeared for a Pre-Trial Hearing and a Hearing on the Stateâs Motion to Revoke Home Confinement. Mr. Parsons admitted to violating his home confinement and the Judge revoked his bond. The Court, however, did grant the Defendantâs Motion to Restore Bond and set it at thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) cash, surety, or property with the continued condition of home confinement.
Jeremy Burrows appeared for Arraignment. His case was set for a Pre-Trial Hearing on September 17th and for Jury Selection and Jury Trial on October 8th.
Jamie Miller and Evan Hersman appeared for Sentencing following their convictions at jury trial for Armed Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. Judge Ashley sentenced the pair to fifty (50) years in the state penitentiary for Armed Robbery and to one (1) to five (5) years in the state penitentiary for Conspiracy. The sentences are to be served consecutively and they are given credit for time already served on these offenses (Read Additional Story).
The Court also heard eight juvenile hearings.
