Cecil O. Lowther, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Cecil was born in Benson, WV to the late Oleta and Ordie Lowther.
Cecil served in the US Army from June, 1944-May, 1949 and worked at General Motors in Parma for 30 years as a grinder. He loved his family and loved to garden. He also enjoyed reading and watching Westerns.
His three great-great grandchildren were a great joy to him.
Cecil is survived by his wife Opal Fogle Lowther, the daughter of Harry Fogle and Ona Boone Fogle who lived at Russett.
They would have been married for 72 years on August 16.
He is also survived by his 3 children, son Ronald (Deborah) of Northport AL, daughters Janet (Robert) McMinn of North Ridgeville, Roni Walend of Elyria; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers Bud and Bobbie; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters and one brother.
