Ruth Joann Stump, 81, of Parkersburg, WV passed away July 14, 2019 at Worthington Healthcare Center, Parkersburg, WV.
She was born May 12, 1938 in Stumptown, WV, a daughter of the late Alfred B. and Almedia Kerby Stump.
She attended school in Normantown prior to her family moving to Grantsville where she completed her education. She graduated from Calhoun County High School with the class of 1959. She had high interest in children and the elderly from the community and the churches she attended.
She is survived by one brother, Alfred Stump, Jr. and his wife, Judy and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Bernard and his wife, Irene, Harold Lee and his wife, Bernice, and Carl and his wife, Rosa Lee.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown, WV.
