| Clifford Shaffer, 74, of Gandeeville, died July 11, 2019, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was born November 4, 1944 at Cicerone, the son of the late Otis and Elva Pearl Hackney Shaffer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Corby and Hubert Shaffer; sisters, Audrey Davis and Lottie Payne; an infant brother and infant sister.
Clifford was united in marriage on the 20th day of January, 1968 to Barbara Ann Fields at Harmony.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara A. Shaffer; sons, Allen Shaffer of Gandeeville and Mark Shaffer of Ripley; sisters, Dottie Harris of Spencer and Shirley Haynes of Kenna; brothers, Arnold Shaffer of Pinch and Marvin Shaffer of Elkview.
Clifford was a retired carpenter and timber cutter. He was a former employee of Charleston Construction Company. His two favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing.
He was a member of the Sunlight Baptist Church, Elkview.
There will be no visitation or service.
