Janet Darlene Starcher Leek of Ripley WV, went to sleep in Jesus on July 8, 2019 after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Spencer WV on November 11, 1954 to the late Chester D. and Alma M. (Greathouse) Starcher.
Janet was an LPN and loved caring for the elderly. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and special times with her three sisters.
She is survived by a son, Christopher Slider and wife Tammy of West Union; daughter Sheleena Park and husband Greg of Clarksburg; three sisters, Shirley Gainer and husband Edward, Eva Chapman and husband Robert (Butch) Chapman both of Spencer, Emma Walker and husband Mark of Big Bend; three grandchildren, Britney Denton, Brandon Slider, Samantha Park and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and her faithful dog, Briar.
Service will be officiated by Rev. Randy Whited at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV. Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. and funeral will be Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with interment at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, WV.
