| Billie "Bill" McCroskey, 85, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Eldercare of Ripley, West Virginia, after an extended illness.
Billie was born April 25, 1934 in Roane County, a son of the late Bill and Thelma Phillips McCroskey.
He was retired from Quaker State Oil Refinery Corporation, and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and fishing. He also loved going to Go-Mart every morning for breakfast and coffee.
Billie is survived by one sister, Freeda Jo Taylor of Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Wilks McCroskey; infant twin sons, Robert Dewayne and Billie Wayne McCroskey; and five brothers, Bruce, Robert, Fred, John, and Jack McCroskey.
Service will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Pastor Homer Hensley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Per Billie's wish, he will then be cremated. |
