Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Queen of Cleveland, O., spent Christmas with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Crosby Queen of Weston. They visited her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marks of Daniels Run. His only brother, Shirley Queen , passed away on Christmas night. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at Sand fork. Other folk that spent the holidays here were Mr. and Mrs. Rex Maffet of Barberton, O., Carrie Reed of Cleveland, O., and his son, James of Barberton, Ohio. Louis and Russell Starcher of Barberton, O., spent the holidays with their mother and sister here. Was sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Dona Fowler, The family has our heartfelt sympathy. H.M. Maffet was visiting Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marks last Tuesday night. The second well that Mallie Carpenter drilled on Allen B. Starcher's farm is reported to be a good well. Mr. Vena Marks and Roger Paul were calling on Mrs Delta Starcher, Friday. Guy Wood and Melvin Starcher were visiting Henry Marks, Saturday. Holly Nester was Doing some surveying for Eugene Starcher, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Allen B. Starcher were shopping in Grantsville, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Ballentyne and children, Micky, Mary Ann and Kitty, of Cleveland, O., arrived Saturday night to visit her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marks. Mr and Mrs. Vere Price and son, Loren, were visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Nitz, Saturday. Mr . and Mrs. Allen B. Starcher were visiting his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs Corley Miller and daughter, Sharon, of Phillips Run. It has been cold and wet and muddy around here for several weeks. That is part of the reason this reporter's news has been absent for a few weeks. Have been unable to get out to hear any news to have to write about. Mrs. Velma Woods and sons, Ronnie and Roger, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Booher were shopping in town, Saturday.
