Betty Jean Schmidt, 72, of Walton, formerly of Lake City, Mich., died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
She was born May 11, 1947 at Pineville, Ky., the daughter of the late James and Laura Tester Helton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Schmidt; and son, Mark Glenn Hulker.
Survivors include a son, Richard Duane Hulker of Attica, Mich.; daughter, Ann Musgrave of Gandeeville; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters, Jewell Watt of Pontiac, Mich., Roberta Ross of Piketon, Ohio, Joyce Helton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hope Kosnik of Sterling Heights, Mich. and Patricia Blossey of Harrison, Mich.; brothers, Hobert Helton of Columbiaville, Mich. and David Helton of Middleboro, Tenn.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
