CASES PROCESSED:
Michael Myers appeared for Sentencing following his plea to "Fleeing with Reckless Disregard,” a Felony. The court sentenced Mr. Myers to one to five years in the state penitentiary to be served concurrent to a recent sentence of one to ten years in Jackson County for Grand Larceny. The Court also ordered that he pay a $1000.00 fine. The Court recommended that Mr. Myers complete the residential substance abuse treatment program prior to parole.
Austin Dailey appeared for Sentencing following his plea "Accessory After the Fact to Burglary," a Misdemeanor, and "Destruction of Property," a Misdemeanor. The Court suspended the imposition of sentence and placed Mr. Dailey on five years supervised probation. Mr. Dailey was ordered to serve twenty days in jail as part of his probation and was ordered to make seven hundred dollars restitution to James and Evelyn McCormick, the victims. Mr. Dailey was also ordered to pay a $250.00 fine. Mr. Dailey was ordered to participate in a drug treatment program and attend NA or AA meetings twice per week.
Travis Boggs appeared for Sentencing following his plea to “Conspiracy to commit the offense of Robbery, 1st Degree, a Felony. Mr. Boggs was sentenced to five years supervised probation. The Court ordered that he have sixty days to secure placement in a long term residential treatment program. The Court also required that once Mr. Boggs complete a drug treatment program that he participate in NA or AA meetings twice per week, seek mental health treatment, and pay a fine of $1000.00.
Thomas Cain appeared for a Motion Hearing. After hearing testimony and argument, the court denied the Defendantâs Motion to Suppress his Statement and granted the Defendantâs Motion to Suppress Proposed 404(b) evidence. His case is set for trial on June 11, 2019.
Aaron Lloyd appeared for Sentencing following his plea to Domestic Battery, third offense, a felony. The Court sentenced him to one to five years in the state penitentiary.
Joshua Settle appeared for a hearing on his Motion for New Trial. The Motion was denied and he was set for Sentencing on June 13, 2019. Mr. Settle was convicted at trial of Attempting to Disarm a Law Enforcement Officer, a felony; Obstructing an Officer, a misdemeanor; Fleeing from an Officer, a misdemeanor; Battery on an Officer, a misdemeanor; Defective Equipment, a misdemeanor; Third offense driving while license suspended, a misdemeanor; Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor; and Destruction of property, a misdemeanor.
Benjamin Jackson appeared for a Status Hearing. The Court rejected the Defendantâs proposed plea agreement and set this matter for trial on June 11, 2019.
Jonathan McIntyre, Shawn Parsons, Johnny Blosser, Keith Moore, and Joshua May all appeared for Pre-Trial Hearings. The court continued the hearings to May 8, 2019.
Amber Wilford appeared and entered a plea to Possession with Intent to Deliver, a Felony, and to Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Misdemeanor. The Court placed her on a one year period of probation. This Court will review her case at the end of the probation.
The Court also heard twenty two juvenile cases.
