Carolyn "Sue" Richards, 76, of Big Bend, WV died peacefully in CAMC Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 5, 2019 Charleston.
Sue was born on July 27, 1942 in Tully Township, OH to Homer James Roberts and Judy Kathleen (Carper) Roberts. Everyone remembers her as a warm and loving person. She was a generous and caring individual who was passionate about her family.
Sue is survived by her companion, Larry Richards; siblings, Barb (Roberts) Johnson, Roy Roberts, and Darlene (Roberts) Hayes; children, Chuck Roberts, Tom Nations, Bill Nations, Kathy (Nations) Frederick, Vicki (Richards) Poore, and Jessica Richards; 13 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by father Homer Roberts, mother Judy (Carper) Roberts, brothers Bob and Jim Roberts, daughter Heather Richards-Myer, and grandchild Dylan Nations.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday for family and at noon for the public at the funeral home. Interment and committal service will follow at Sand Ridge Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sueâs life. The family would like to thank caregivers and hospital staff at Minnie Hamilton Health System for their care.
