Raymond A. Elliott, 84, of Clover, died March 23, 2019, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
He was born November 1, 1934, at Ruritan Township, N.J., the son of the late Thaddeus and Marguerite Smith Elliott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Elliott; and four brothers, Vincent Elliott, Robert Elliott, Lawrence Elliott and Donald Elliott.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Elliott; sons, Dwayne Elliott, Tim Elliott, Ken Elliott and Greg Noh; stepchildren, Christina Spaulding, Lori Bilyou, Maria Del Naja and John Del Naja; sister, Carol Melchior; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Ray was a 1952 graduate of the William Penn High School, New Castle, Del. He began working in his father's machine shop at an early age and went on to become a master machinist. Along with his brothers, Ray co-owned Elliott and Sons Machine Shop, specializing in industrial maintenance in Delaware and surrounding areas.
Throughout his life, Ray was active in church and community wherever he lived. He served in the Delaware Air National Guard as a medic during the Korean War. He was secretary and Past Master of Jackson Lodge No. 19, Delaware City, Del. and the Scottish Rite Bodies , Wilmington, Del.
He attended the First Baptist Church of Spencer, where he sang tenor in the church choir.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Spencer. Friends may call for visitation one hour prior to the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ray's life.

The family extends their thanks to the nurses and staff of Camden Clark Medical Center and especially to Drs. Brownhilda Santo and Abiy Kelil for their care and dedication.
