The Hur Herald obtained the secondary road improvement list for Calhoun, with lots of ambitious projects, many of them sorely needed.
The list was compiled after Jim Justice declared he was "going to fix those dam roads," while firing a trained and experienced engineer with an employee of one of his failed country clubs.
Justin B. Smith,
District 3 Engineer/Manager, said the list is not set in stone but a start.
The highway department said fixes would be prioritized related to the amount of traffic on the road.
The list has been prioritized.
Officials have yet to give an explanation why nearly all WV highway districts have been spending only 70% of allocated core maintenance funding.
Critics of the Justice administration have said the 'savings' was to build up some extra money for a political fix-the-roads splash.
