| Jackie D. "Jack" Wine age 82 of Pine Run Road, Orlando, WV (Gilmer County), departed this earthly life at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston WV, following an extended illness.
Jackie was born February 1, 1937 in Lewis County WV, son of the late Ernest and Frena Heath Wine.
Jackie worked for Frito-Lay as the Rolled Gold Pretzel Guy for 30 years, having retired in 1983. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed hunting, tinkering, fixing things (even if they weren't broken), being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and spending more than 60 years with his loving wife Mabel.
On June 9, 1956 Jackie was united in marriage to Mabel Ann Heater Wine, who preceded him in death on January 9, 2018.
Surviving are 3 sons, David Wine of Canton OH, Dean Wine (Dorothy) of Elkhart IN, and Gary Wine also of Canton OH; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, and Ardon Wine; 5 great-grandchildren, Riley Tharpe, Liam Tharpe, Crystal Wine, Annika Wine, and Annabella Wine; and 7 siblings, Clifford Wine (Lorna) of Orlando, Dana Wine of Hilliard FL, Arthur Dale Wine of Orlando, Richard Wine (Patty) of Weston WV, Larry Wine of Orlando, Jean (Faye) Blake of Weston, and Lola Lawson of Orlando.
Along with his wife and parents, Jackie is preceded in death by 4 siblings, Charles Duane and Donald Wine, Helen Wiant, and Evelyn Pumphrey.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 with Pastor Jim Short officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery on Rocky Fork Road. Friends will be received from 11-1 Sunday at the mortuary in Glenville.
