Virginia Lea Kee Knopp, 91, of Spencer, West Virginia died March 17, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness.
She was born March 25, 1927 in Harmony, West Virginia a daughter of the late Phillip Fritz Kee and Zona Ellen Ellis Kee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church. She served on the Roane General Hospital Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed quilting.
Virginia is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth (Howard) A. Barber; one son, William Stephen Knopp; one sister, Mary A. Raines; sisters-in-law, Addie Thompson and Bonnie Guerriere; three grandchildren, Rodney (Lisa) Barber, Nicole Knopp and Amber (Travis) Canterbury; and great-grandchildren, Elise Hess, Brody Hess, Kelcee Webster, Faith Canterbury, Andrew Canterbury and Austin Carte.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Knopp; a daughter, Janice L. Knopp; and brothers and sisters, Joe Kee, Harry Kee, Othello Fields, Esten Kee, and Ellis Kee.
Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 22, 2019 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery near Harmony. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
