Maggie R. Drake, 97, of Spencer, formerly of Newton, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born March 17, 1921 at Newton, the daughter of the late Michael James and Anna Jane Moore Drake.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, McKinley Drake, Ira Melvin Drake, Orville Herman Drake, Holly Delbert Drake, Viola Parker, Nona Mae Drake, Lunda Lester Drake, Elmer Lawrence Drake, Harlie Donzil Drake, Hester Gladys Chapman, Howard Dempsey Drake and Saphrona Evelyn Smith Roush.
Maggie was homemaker. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, raising chickens and singing.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Philip Linger officiating. Burial will be in the Drake Cemetery, Newton.
The visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m.
