Amateur Radio is a hobby that everyone can enjoy, however, a license is
required to operate on Amateur Radio frequencies.
Today, all that is
required to obtain a license is passing the Technician class
written test.
Years ago to become an amateur operator morse code was
required. Today morse code is only required to upgrade to a General or
Amateur Extra license; which offers amateur's more operating privileges.
