ROAD RAGE - A Grafton man has been charged after allegedly firing a gun at a car during a road rage incident.
According to the criminal complaint, Matthew Devericks was traveling on Knottsville Road Thursday when he got into a road rage incident with another driver. Knottsville then allegedly took out a pistol and fired at the car in a residential area.
Officers say they found a shell casing and debris from the vehicle that was allegedly shot at. According to the complaint, a resident witnessed the incident and used a stick to move the shell casing out of the roadway.
Police say Devericks admitted to getting rid of the pistol in Clarksburg after the incident.
Devericks is charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm.
HUNTINGTON SHOOTING - Huntington Police said a man was shot multiple times during an early morning shooting Friday.
Police said it happened about 12:30 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of 29th Street in Huntington. Police said Hunter Woodrum, 18, of Huntington was shot multiple times. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Police said the victim is being uncooperative with the investigation. Several witnesses are being interviewed, and police are attempting to determine a motive. The investigation is ongoing. |
