Applications for the 2019 West Virginia Make It Shine Statewide Cleanup are available.
Calhoun residents have not participated in program for several years.
The annual event provides resources, including waste hauling and landfill fees, to community groups wanting to clean up litter on public lands or state streams.
Officials say more than 4,800 people participated in last year's event, with 120 tons of litter being removed from parts of the state.
The application deadline is March 8th. Applications can be downloaded by visiting the Make It Shine page on www.dep.wv.gov, or by contacting Terry Carrington at 1-800-322-5530 or Terry.R.Carrington@wv.gov. |
