Evelyn Ruth Stahlman, 92, of Spencer, West Virginia died February 18, 2019 at the Miletree Center in Spencer.
She was born March 25, 1926 in Clendenin, West Virginia a daughter of the late Dan and Annie Hardman Rhodes.
She, along with her husband, owned and operated Stahlman's Fabric & Tools in Spencer for many years. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, sewing, cooking, and flower gardening. She was Baptist by faith and attended the Peniel Community Church.
Evelyn is survived by one son, Pat Stahlman of Spencer; three daughters, Brenda Stahlman, Linda Sue Burgess, and Terrie Harper, all of Spencer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin "Charlie" Stahlman; one son, Charles D. "Danny" Stahlman; one brother, James Rhodes; one sister, Gertrude Thomas; and six infant brothers and sisters.
Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Rev. Tim Couch officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. |
