Ernestine Jackson, 78, of Spencer, died February 5, 2003 in High Point
Regional Hospital, High Point NC.
She was born November 29, 1924 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Alpheus
and Carrie Kerby Norman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband Everett L. Jackson, granddaughter, Ernestine Ann
Blosser, brother, Garrett Norman and several sisters.
She was a homemaker and attended St. John's United Methodist Church in
Spencer. She was a gentle, kind, caring and helpful friend to her neighbors
in the Smith Street Apartments.
Survivors, daughters, Argivie "Frances" Rowley of Trinity, NC and Nancy
Taylor of Parkersburg, WV; ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, four
great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 1 p.m. in
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. G. David Calvert
officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Memorial Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
