Bernice Riddle Stump, 94, formerly of Russett, WV went to be with the Lord February 12, 2019 at Macclesfield, NC.
She was born July 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Ralph and Daisy Smith Riddle.
Bernice was a graduate of Calhoun County High School, Glenville State College and attended WVU. She was a school teacher in Calhoun County for 40 years. She was a member of the Rush Run Baptist Church, Rush Run CEOS and the Calhoun County Retired School Employees.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hughart Stump; sister, Agnes Kendall Lewis; and grandchild, Jordan Leigh Stump.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Stump (Dena); grandsons Zachary Stephen Stump and Hayden Taylor Stump; great-granddaughter, Sophia Bracewell; and long-time friend and caregiver, Linda Taylor.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV with Rev. Kenny Kendall and Rev. John Vannoy officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery.
