| Ray Smith Jarvis, 83, of Culloden, WV, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 1, 2019 after a short illness.
He was born September 15, 1935, at Beech, WV. The son of Cecil and Goldie Jarvis. He was retired from the oil and gas industry. He loved collecting Antique cars, working on them and restoring them.
He was a former resident of Beech, and graduated from Calhoun County High School with the class of 1953.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Leondas and Millie (Bailey) Smith and Perry and Sarah (Conley) Jarvis; his parents Cecil and Goldie (Smith) Jarvis; son, Ray Charles "Chuck" Jarvis; and sister, Faye Jarvis.
He is survived by his daughter Brenda Jarvis, and her husband Bill Nichols of Spencer; 3 grandsons; sister Gladys Moore of Millwood, WV; 2 nieces and his special caregiver Loraine Kinder, and his dog Ben.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home in Hurricane, WV. Graveside services were
Monday, February 4, at Smith Cemetery, Beech, WV.
