Nyla Leah Frymier Poole, age 82 of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her residence in Camden Flats, with her loving husband and children by her side.
She was born September 11, 1936 in Tanner WV, daughter of the late Eustace and Ploma Grogg Frymier.
Nyla is a graduate of Tanner High School, class of 1954 and a former cook for the Gilmer County Board of Education, having served the communities children for more than 23 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, camping, and was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Nyla loved caring for her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and would spoil them whenever possible.
On July 11, 1957 Nyla was united in marriage to John Jasper "Johnny" Poole, who survives at their Camden Flats home.
Surviving are 3 children, Dorinda Buck and husband Steve of Williamstown WV, Mindy Nicholson and husband Mitch of New Milton WV, and Jason Poole and wife Amanda of Glenville; 3 siblings, Billy Joe Frymier and wife Linda of Tanner, Karen Alloway and husband Clyde of Belpre OH, and Jean Reed and husband Junior of Summersville WV.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Jeremy Buck and wife Holly, Mitchell Buck and wife Sara, Sheena Gray and husband Roadie, and Isaac, Jacob, and Leah Poole, 7 great-grandchildren, Rylee and Rayme Gray, and Parker, Inessa, Gavin, Elyse, and Abigail Buck, and a host of other family and friends.
Along with her parents, Nyla is preceded in death by 4 siblings, Judith Washburn, and Basil, Keith, and Jerry Frymier.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 with Rev. Kenny Fisher and Rev. Larry Flemming officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery near Tanner WV. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Saturday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.
