The West Virginia Courthouse Facilities Improvement Authority (CFIA) approved more than $1.9 million in funding for several projects in 2019. Roane and Braxton will each get $100,000 for facility repairs. The counties would need to provide at least a 20 percent match. The money would go towards the following improvements: Braxton County: Replacement of courthouse roof. Roane County: Installation of wet pipe sprinkler system. According to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, no tax money is used for the grants. |
