An expert gardener, curator of beautiful things, mentor and matriarch, Betty Ruth Thrash Odle was the life-force for many. It is with great sadness and celebration that we honor Betty's life and passing.
Born on December 4, 1933 to the late Charles Columbus Thrash and Icy Jane Atkinson Thrash of Middle Fork Rd., Reedy, Betty led a rich life full of family and friendship. She was surrounded by this love at her passing on February 8, 2019.
Betty was preceded by her parents, mentioned, and husband, William A. Odle.
She is survived by two sisters; Mary Sutphin (Joe) and Lesa Fleming (Larry) seven children; Mark Odle, Steven Odle (Julie), Susan Odle Moran (Bob), Kevin Odle (Linda), Jeff Odle (Debbie), Gary Odle (Jean Rodden) and Tim Odle (Miranda Burbank), twelve grandchildren; Christoper Odle, Mairin Odle (Ansel Payne), Craig Odle, Matthew Odle (Rachael), Susan Odle, Erin Mumford (Tim), Quinn Moran, Alison Odle, Liam Odle, Maddie Moran, Ragan Odle and Will Odle, and three great-grandchildren; Zoe Odle, Kellen Odle and Kye Mumford.
Betty was also an adoring aunt and great-aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews. While Betty is no longer with us in the way we once knew, her strength, wisdom, compassion and abiding spirit will live on in our memory and in the places of this world where she found peace. "Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world."
TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements for the Odle family. There will be no service or visitation at the funeral home. |
