On Tuesday, February 4, the Arnoldsburg's After School Program was visited by the local fire department. Members of the
Arnoldsburg Fire Department brought two trucks and all the gear used to fight fires. Assistant Chief Joe Tanner, Captain
Justin Metheney and fire fighter Derek Wright gave valuable lessons to the students in case of a fire.

Firefighters demonstrate what it might look like during a fire as they crawl through a house. Volunteers were chosen to yell
for help until they were rescued. Many children get scared and hide under beds during a fire. Students were told never to
hide and not be afraid. What could be a scary sight for children turned into a fun experience that hopefully will be
remembered if such a time or need arises
