Donna Fay Grogg, age 74 of Kanawha Street, Glenville WV, gained her angel wings on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown WV, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
She was born August 2, 1944 in Parkersburg WV, daughter of the late Arley and Ivy Boyce Bush.
Donna was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever possible.
She is a Methodist by faith and has been described by her family as a social butterfly. She also worked at the Glenville Foodland off and on for more than 20 years.
Donna touched the life of every person she met and she loved everyone with her whole heart. She had a smile that would light up the room and a warm and loving touch, that will be missed by all.
On June 10, 1961 she was united in marriage to Billie Grogg, who survives at their Kanawha Street home.
Surviving are 3 children, Louie Grogg of Newberne WV, Curtis Grogg and companion Patty of Glenville, and Clarissa Ferrell and husband Steve of Glenville, and 1 brother, Donald "Don" Bush and wife Karen of Tanner WV.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Emilee Nichols and husband Josh of Spencer WV; Olivia Ferrell and fiancée Adriano Amari of Naples FL, Dayton Grogg of Glenville, and Cody and Cory Grogg of Newberne, and 2 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Wattson Nichols of Spencer.
Along with her parents, Donna is preceded in death by 6 sisters, Margaret Dunbar, Mildred Yoak, Lois Carpenter, Ruby Weaver, Christine Miner, and Roberta Wunderlich, and 4 brothers, James D., Richard L., Cletus L., and Robert R. Bush.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.
