Graveside rites will be held today for a former Calhoun man who was struck and killed by three vehicles in Parkersburg on
January 30. Franklin D. "Rocky" Jones, 68, will be buried in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens by the Lambert-Tatman
Funeral Home.
The Parkersburg Police Department had difficulty locating relatives, according to patrolman Kevin Hornbeck.
He was struck by three vehicles a few yards from his residence while he was crossing the street last week.
After the initial impact, the pedestrian was struck by two additional vehicles.
The patrolman said skid marks at the scene indicated the first vehicle attempted to stop before striking Jones. He indicated
the second and third vehicles did not have time to react.
