| Wade Hubert Carpenter, 90, of Exchange, WV, passed away Dec. 8, 2018, at his residence.
He was born on February 19, 1928 in Orma, WV and was the son of Alpha B. Carpenter Sr. and Susie Rebecca White Carpenter.
Wade loved fishing, spending time in Canada, traveling and camping in the Winnebago. He was an avid music lover especially Bluegrass and country music.
Wade is survived by three daughters, Susan Smith of Cocoa, Fla, Linda Wright (Olin) of Fredricksburg, Va. and Marilyn Carpenter of Elizabethtown, Ky., one brother, Alpha B. Carpenter Jr., 10 grandchildren, several great, great-great and great-great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Evelyn Schultz Carpenter, second wife Genevieve Mankins Carpenter, third wife Donna Jean Shaver Carpenter, two sons James and Charles Carpenter, three brothers Cecil Carpenter, Arnold Brooks Carpenter and Stanley Carpenter and two sisters Beatrice Butler and Leslie Roberts.
Visitation will be held 3 - 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec, 15 at Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg concluding with music and a time of remembrance.
