An Ohio company is recalling about 250 half-gallon packages of vanilla ice cream that contain pecans but do not list them on the ingredients.
The pecans were "undeclared."
Smith Dairy Products of Orrville, Ohio, says the packages of Ruggles No Sugar Added vanilla ice cream may cause severe allergic reactions to people with pecan allergies.
The recalled packages were distributed to retailers in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia and bear the code "3-3-6-2" on the side panel.
