DRUG DEAL MURDER -
Two people have been arrested in connection to a murder that is now being described as a drug deal that went wrong.
According to the Fairmont Police Department, 28-year-old Kenneth Rager Jr., of Marion County, is charged with 1st-degree murder for the death of Kevin Blanks on November 5th.
Rager allegedly shot and killed Blanks. Blanks had fled from the Merchant Street area, where he had been participating in a drug deal, to Front Street, where he was pronounced dead after being shot multiple times.
31-year-old Dominic Jones, of Marion County, was also arrested for allegedly taking Blanks to the deal, which police say involved counterfeit methamphetamine. Jones is charged with delivery of a counterfeit controlled substance purported to be methamphetamine.
According to Fairmont Police, investigators are aware of other suspects in the murder.
