John Wayne Nichols, 49, of Point Pleasant, died November 5, 2018 at his home.
He was born July 1, 1969, at Stuart, Fla., the son of Ernie and Linda Hackney Nichols of Walton.
John was an Army veteran and a former disaster relief coordinator for the Red Cross in Florida.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter, Nicole Andrade of Ravenswood; son, Brandon Nichols of Ripley; four grandchildren; brothers, Teddy Nichols of Ravenswood and Ernie Nichols, Jr. of Walton; special nephew, Cody Nichols.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jeffrey Nichols in 2007.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11 at the Shaffer Cemetery, Walton, with the Rev. Dave Young officiating.
There will be no visitation.
