The Calhoun County Adult Basic Education class meets five times weekly at the
Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center. Adult students who are preparing for the GED (General
Equivalency Diploma) exam or adults who need to strengthen basic skills are welcome to attend.
The classes are free of charge. The following schedule gives dates and times of scheduled
classes.
This month the class is adding a guest speaker schedule. Guest speakers representing
various service agencies throughout Calhoun County will be coming in to give overviews of
their programs, what services are offered, who is eligible, and how to sign up. The public is
invited to attend these short sessions. They are designated with asterisks in the schedule.
Call Shelly Allen at the Career Center, 354-6151, for more details.
