Ora Nelle Nicholas, 86, of Spencer, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the CAMC - General Hospital, Charleston.
She was born July 24, 1932 at Ivydale, the daughter of the late Herbert H. and Mae Coen Thorne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Ora was united in marriage to Allen E. Nicholas on the 27th day of December 1962, at Ivydale.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Allen E. Nicholas; sons and daughters-in-law, Butch and Eva Chapman of Reedy and Mike and Thelma Hyer of Spencer; daughter, Lynn Webb of Clover; four grandchildren, Jamie, Drew, Morgan and Tyler; nine great grandchildren.
Ora was a retired beautician. She was owner and operator of Nicholas Beauty Shop.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
