| Fred Samuel Blanks, 76, of Gassaway, WV passed away Monday, October 22, 2018.
He was born on March 18, 1942 at Norfolk, VA to the late Oakley Brann Blanks and Christine (Moore) Blanks. He was married to Sallie Patricia (Green) Blanks for fifty-six years and is still united with her in death. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Sandy Blanks who passed away in 1981 and a brother, Oakley "OB" Blanks.
Surviving is daughter, Teresa Acree, Shawboro, NC.
Fred was an entrepreneur and owned and operated several businesses and his dream was to move to WV and open up his own general store which he did and was known as Fred's Country Store located in Gassaway, WV. It was a favorite hangout for hunters who would come in and enjoy breakfast and conversation. He enjoyed the outdoors and like to hunt bear and deer and go game and regular fishing.
