Arnold Frank Yoak, 93, of Big Bend, WV went to be with his Lord on October 23, 2018 at Veterans' Nursing Home, Clarksburg, WV.
He was born in Hammond, WV on April 25, 1925, a son of the late Wattie and Alverta Wells Yoak.
He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and US Army veteran of the Korean War. He served in the Phillippine Liberation with 2 stars and received the Pacific Theater Ribbon with 6 starts, American Theater Ribbon and a Victory Medal. He was retired from FMC Mine in Green River, WY.
He is survived by a sister, Ruby Jean Godfrey of Silver Springs, MD; three sons, Robert (Nancy) of Nobe, WV; Roger (Beverly) of Youngstown, Ohio; and Arnold Frank (Jeanette) of Nobe, WV; seven grandchildren, Eugene (Karen) Yoak and Richard (Shelly) Yoak of Green River, WY; Michelle Yoak and Misty Yoak of Lyman WY; Carolynn Stewart of Youngstown, Ohio; Michelle Stewart of China; and Makayla Yoak of Nobe; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two wives, Mildred Bush Yoak and Mavadean Wilson Yoak, one granddaughter, Cierra Yoak Boothe, two infant children, and several brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating.
