HUNTINGTON MURDER - A Michigan man has been charged with murder in a fatal shooting in Huntington.
Ronald Eugene Flowers, 44, was taken into custody just before noon.
He has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jason Allen Shank, 40.
According to the release, police responded to a shooting at 17th Street and 10th Avenue just before 1 a.m. Thursday.
Once on scene, police located Shank with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Flowers and Shank do not have a known relationship.
ARMED ROBBERY - Morgantown Police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery that took place Wednesday night.
According to the Morgantown Police Department, the robbery happened at around 9:15 p.m. at the Rite Aid on Patteson Drive.
Police say the suspect is a black man who is around 6 ft. tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black toboggan, a "bulky" green sweatshirt, and black sweatpants.
The suspect reportedly came into the business holding a handgun and demanded prescription medications. When the medications were given to him, he fled towards the back of the shopping center. No one was injured in the incident. |
