Oran L. "Jim" Siers , 82, resident of Cross Lanes, WV, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, after a short stay at Teays Valley Center.
Jim was born April 10, 1936, in Floe, WV, a son of the late Orla Siers and Ora Boggs Siers. At age 16 he graduated from Clay County High School in 1952. Jim retired in 1996 from Monongahela Power Company as a right of way agent after more than 35 years. He then served as a consultant in the oil and gas industry in the same capacity.
Jim was a 32 degree Mason and Shriner. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Lakers. He also enjoyed rooting for whomever was playing the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Marlena (Bob) Maynard of Alpine Lake, WV, Judy Romano of Raleigh, NC, and Jamie (Eric) Click of Cross Lanes, WV; grandsons Chase (Liz) Maynard of Ocala, FL, James Romano of Raleigh, NC, John "Jack" Siers Romano of Raleigh, NC, Will Click of Cross Lanes, and Sam Click of Cross Lanes. He is also survived by a sister, Dorma Conley, of Chloe, WV.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Lou Jones Siers; beloved grandson, Shane Maynard; and sister Libby Arnold.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the Big Otter Community Center in Ivydale, WV. Cards of sympathy may be sent to 5321 Shadowbrook Road, Charleston, WV, 25313.
