| Three individuals connected to the 2017 murder of Eugene Stevens appeared before Judge Anita Ashley, Calhoun Circuit Court, on Thursday.
Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Jamie Miller, Evan Hersman, and Heather Davis appeared for a pre-trial hearing on charges of murder, a felony; robbery, 1st degree, a felony; conspiracy, a felony; arson, 3rd degree, a felony; and destruction of property, a felony. The pre-trial hearing was continued to December 6, 2018. Trial will be held December 18, 2018.

Thomas Cain of Chloe appeared for a pre-trial hearing on his charge of malicious assault, a felony. Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said there were no issues to be heard, the case will come on for trial on November 13, 2018.
Cain is charged in the shooting of Scott Butler on Walnut Road.

CAIN IN CENTRAL REGIONAL JAIL FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER
Angela Yoak appeared for sentencing on her conviction of possession of a stolen vehicle, a felony, and unlawful taking of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Yoak was placed on a one year diversion period. She was ordered to participate in drug rehabilitation services as recommended by the Probation Officer, pay restitution as agreed upon by the parties, and to pay $5.00 per month in Community Corrections and supervised probation fees.
David Bailey appeared for sentencing on his conviction of possession of a stolen vehicle, a felony, and driving revoked for DUI, second offense, a misdemeanor.
Mr. Bailey was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay restitution to the victim, Dan Faugl; ordered to pay $5.00 per month Community Corrections and supervised probation fees; and to attend AA and/or NA meetings.
The court also heard eight juvenile cases Thursday.
OCT. 3 CASES BEFORE CALHOUN CIRCUIT COURT, JUDGE ANITA ASHLEY:
Nicholas Lane appeared for a final sentencing hearing after he completed his sentence at the Anthony Correctional Center Program for Youthful Offenders on his felony conviction of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless disregard. Lane was placed on one year probation.
Heather Davis appeared for a pre-trial hearing on charges of possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance. The hearing was continued to November 1, 2018.
Jason Conrad appeared for a pre-trial hearing on charges of possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance. There being no issues to address, his case will come to trial on November 13, 2018.
Christian Cottrell appeared for an Arraignment Hearing on his charges of Strangulation, a Felony; Child Abuse Resulting in Bodily Injury, a Felony; Violation of a Protective Order, a Misdemeanor; and Driving revoked for DUI, Second Offense, a Misdemeanor. His case was set for a Pre-Trial Hearing on November 1, 2018 and Trial on December 18, 2018.

COTTRELL CHARGED WITH STRANGULATION
Brian Burrows appeared for an arraignment hearing on his charge of grand larceny, a felony. His case was set for pre-trial hearing on January 9, 2018 and for trial on February 5, 2018.
Aaron Lloyd appeared for an arraignment hearing on his charges of domestic battery, 3rd or subsequent offense, a felony and violation of a domestic violence probation order, a misdemeanor. His case was set for pre-trial hearing on November 1, 2018 and for trial on November 13, 2018.
Linda Arnold appeared by counsel Tony Morgan and moved to continue her arraignment. Her case is set for further hearing on November 1, 2018 for arraignment on her charge of fraud in obtaining welfare benefits, a felony.
Henry Stutler appeared and entered a guilty plea to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a felony. His case is set for sentencing on November 1, 2018.
Melissa West appeared for sentencing. The court sentenced her to one to five years in the state penitentiary for her conviction of possession of a stolen vehicle, a felony, and one to ten years on her conviction of forgery, a felony. These sentences are to be served consecutive to one another, but concurrently with a sentence on another felony charge from the Circuit Court of Clay County, WV.
West is also ordered to make restitution to Harold Wilson and to Houstin McCune.
Robert Pritt appeared for a final review of his high/low plea agreement and probationary period. The court found that he had successfully completed probation and dismissed the felony conviction of possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance. The court found that he stands convicted of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Rick Boatright appeared for arraignment on his charges of illegal possession of destructive devices, explosive materials or incendiary devices, felonies.
Boatright's case was set for pre-trial hearing on November 1, 2018 and trial on December 18, 2018. The state also moved to revoke Boatright's bond. Boatright admitted that he had violated bond and the Court revoked his bond and ordered that it be forfeited.
Justin Hannah appeared for a first appearance for arraignment on November 1, 2018 on charges of grand larceny, a felony; and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, a felony.
The court also heard fifteen Juvenile cases, according to Prosecutor Shannon Johnson.
