10/04/2018 - A man wanted on a bench warrant from Roane County has been caught in Clendenin, according to Clendenin Mayor Shana Clendenin.
She says David White was apprehended near ACE pipeline along Reamer Road. That's near Elk Refinery.
Investigators say White was on home confinement, but removed his ankle monitor Wednesday evening.
White even prompted a water rescue Thursday after investigators say he jumped into a river.

White was on home confinement, but removed his ankle monitor on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday, someone called 911 with reports of a man, later identified as White, jumping in the river. The fire department arrived and found White, alive and unharmed, under a bridge.
By the time police arrived, though, White had left the scene. Officials are now searching in the area of Reamer Road and the Old Elk Refinery. |
