A group of Calhoun citizens have formed a political action committee (PAC) and are working to inform voters regarding the upcoming educational levy. Richard Westfall is serving as chairman for PAC named
"Friends of Calhoun County Schools". The group welcomes anyone interested in becoming involved and your talent may be the one needed.
The Friends of Calhoun County Schools plans to hold one more meeting October 23, at Brooksville Baptist Church Family Life Center. Every meeting is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. Join us if you have questions, wish to become involved or want to learn more about the levy proposal.
The PAC members will be available to answer questions and/or provide
literature on the levy. This Levy is to benefit our students by returning 5th graders to the elementary
schools, providing free admittance to regular season sporting events for all, educational and cultural
field trips, classroom supplies and maintenance on our schools. |
