West Virginia tax officials are accepting payments by credit card this year for personal and business taxes.
Taxpayers may pay with American Express, Visa, Discover and MasterCard.
Those paying with a credit card will be charged at least one extra dollar to Official Payments Corporation for the service.
The company charges a dollar for payments up to $40 and 2.5 percent for exceeding amounts.

Credit card payments are possible due to a partnership among the state Tax Department, the State Treasurer's office and a
private vendor.
