Carolyn Jean McCune, 79, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at home.
She was born February 11, 1939 in Spencer, a daughter of Bertie Anderson. She formerly worked at Spencer State Hospital and Miletree Center.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Brenda Moreno of Cottageville, West Virginia and Beverly Moore of Spencer; two step-daughters, Brenda Miller of Spencer and Scherry Linger of Johnstown, Ohio; two sons, Richard Smith of Spencer and Marshall Smith of Wooster, Ohio; a step-son, Johnny McCune of Centerburg, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. "John" McCune and two children, Steven and Terrie Lynn.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Pastor Wayne McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward-Gandee Chapel Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. |
