CALHOUN EDUCATORS NEW PLACEMENTS

(08/21/2018)
Tammey Webb - I have worked for the Calhoun County School system for 31 years as a classroom teacher. For the last 12 years I have taught 2nd grade teachers at AES. This year I will begin a new adventure as STC Program Coordinator/Interventionist.

My husband Rick and I have three daughters. Lindsey, a Senior at GSC, majoring in Criminal Justice, Laura, a Junior at GSC, majoring in Education, and Akeara who is in the 8th grade at Calhoun Middle/High School.

I love teaching and working at AES! I am looking forward to my new position for STC.

Lee Kimble - I'm the new Special Education Teacher at Pleasant Hill Elementary and Calhoun County High School. I was born in Baltimore Maryland and moved to West Virginia when I was three. I was raised right here in Calhoun County and I call this place my home. I attended West Virginia University and graduated with a Regents Bachelor of Arts and three Associates Degrees in Applied Sciences and Art.

I was blessed with my son, whom I love very much, right after I graduated and moved to Kentucky for three years, where I decided to join the military. In the military I was an Engineering Aide and I traveled across the United States as well as Europe in the United States Navy. After leaving the military I decided it was time to come home. I moved back to Calhoun County and became a Substitute Teacher.

I enjoyed teaching so much that I decided to become a teacher. I enjoy working with all the great teachers and students here at Pleasant Hill Elementary and Calhoun County High School, they have all made me feel so welcome. I'm very thankful for this and I look forward to an amazing year at Pleasant Hill Elementary and Calhoun County High School.

Stacey Wagoner - I have been blessed to work with children in various settings. This is my second year as a paraprofessional. I was also a preschool teacher for one year. I have been a substitute teacher for all the schools in Calhoun County. Additionally, I was previously director/lead teacher for a day care facility for eight years. I am a graduate of Glenville State College and WVU-P.

My favorite things include, Animal-Parrots; Color-Pink; Fast Food - Taco Bell; Season - Summer. I am looking forward to spending the next year growing and experiencing new things with my students. It is going to be an amazing and memorable year.

Monica Heiney - I am a 2015 graduate of Calhoun High. I received my associates in early childhood development from WVUP in 2017.

Last year I worked at Arnoldsburg Elementary as a long term sub paraprofessional in the special education room.

This year I am working in the new special education room at Pleasant Hill Elementary.

Jeremy Johnson - I was fortunate enough to become the new assistant principal at Calhoun County Middle/High School. I have been teaching school for the last 14 years in three different school settings. Over the last 6 years I taught honors, regular, Advanced Placement, and College English at CMHS.

During this time, I became athletic director, I coached high school baseball and I coached middle school basketball. Prior to coming to Calhoun, I taught five years at Tygarts Valley Middle/High School in Randolph County. During my time there, I taught middle school and high school English. I also coached softball, baseball and middle school basketball.

I started my career at Union Educational Complex in Grant County, and taught there for three years. While there, I also coached middle school basketball and high school baseball. Over the last few years, I have found my time at Calhoun to be very enjoyable. I am sad to leave the classroom, but very excited to start this new job.

I live my life by the 4-H motto of "making the best better". There have been some exciting things happening at Calhoun over the last few years, and it is my hope to continue to help us build a great school by working hard, and working together as a faculty and as a learning community.

Megan Cain - I fell in love with the life of a paraprofessional by surprise as I was working as a Mentor with the Education Alliance program. I found that being in the classroom helping the teacher and students brought me great joy. Nothing pleased me more than helping a student succeed.

After I finished my term of a year I went back to college and got my paraprofessional certificate. After a year I was fortunate enough to find a job as a substitute for Calhoun County and now I'm delighted to be able to say that I have employment at Pleasant Hill Elementary School.

Vicki Hardway - I have worked in the school system for the past twenty years. I have taught First, Third, and Kindergarten at Pleasant Hill Elementary and Fifth - Eighth grades at the Middle School. Most recently I have been the county Gifted Specialist, English Language Learning teacher, and Student Assistant Team Coordinator.

In October I will begin serving as a Save the Children Program Coordinator/Interventionist at Pleasant Hill Elementary.

My husband, Wayne "Pokey" Hardway, and I live on Barnes Run. Together we have two children, Andrea Stevens (married to Brad Stevens) and Chance Hardway (married to Katelyn Deem-Hardway). We have one grandchild, AJ Stevens. Our family is the most important aspect of our lives.
