Darl Glen Jones, 47, of Statesville, North Carolina, formerly of Grantsville, West Virginia, died January 17 at his home in Statesville.
Born May 22, 1955 in Calhoun County, WV, he ws a son of the late Harley and Rhoda
Blanche Richards Jones.
Surviving are his loving wife, Carol Jones of Statesville and two daughters and sons-in-law,
Tina and Scott Robbins and Melissa and Ronzel Richards all of Statesville; three
grandchildren, Timothy Nicholas, Tyler Robbins and Sierra Richards all of Statesville; four
sisters, Betty Jenkins and Shirley Taylor of Big Bend, WV; Wanda Dye of NC and Carol
Ritchie of GA; two brothers, Rusty Jones of Big Springs, WV and Don Welch of GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bill Welch.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV.
Rev. Joe Sealey will officiate. Interment will be in the Goodnight Cemetery, Big Bend. Friends
may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
