Gregory Lee Conley, 55, of Newton, passed from this life Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio, after an extended illness.
He was born July 24, 1963 at Fort Knox, Ky., the eldest child of Homer L. and Pat Rogers Conley of Newton.
Greg was a 1981 graduate of Spencer High School where he was a proud member of the football and wrestling teams.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Mabel Rogers; paternal grandparents, Howard and Locie Conley.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind two brothers, Mike (Shirley) Conley of Duck and Wayne (Vera) Conley of Shelbyville, Ky.; two sisters, Christy Conley (Mike) of Walton and Stacy (Aaron) Romano of Newton; four nieces and five nephews.
The family invites you to visit from 1-2 p.m. Friday, August 10 at the Newton Baptist Church, Newton followed by a celebration of Greg's life during the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Darius Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Hill (Elana) Cemetery, Elana.
