Calhoun responders were dispatched at 10:30 a.m. Monday to information that a man was reported to be in a wreck on Mud Lick, a rural road between Rt. 16, Mt. Zion, and Sycamore Creek.
The call was reported to Ritchie 911.
It could not be confirmed if the man was injured.
The Grantsville VFD, Calhoun EMS and law enforcement searched the Mud Lick area without results, then at 12:30 p.m. Ritchie 911 advised
a ping on the man's cell phone indicated he was in the Frederick Road, Two Mile Creek, Coal Fork area in Calhoun near the Ritchie line.
The man reportedly worked for an oil and gas operation.
Authorities said the man's cell phone had gone dead.
Calhoun responders combed that rural area Monday afternoon to find the man, again without results.
The responders were then notified that the man was just stuck, and Ritchie responders would follow-up.
