| Gene Carter, 84, of Lower Nicut Road, Calhoun County, passed away on July 27, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of the late Locie and Russell Carter of Calhoun County.
He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Bowen and Mary Warner of Calhoun County; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael Carter of Walker Road, West Virginia and Dale Carter of Rittman, Ohio; and sisters, Nina Wilfong of Glenville, West Virginia, Louise Ice of Spencer, West Virginia, Judy Dobbins of Alabama, and Opal Kirchburg of Weston, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Irene Carter, who went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2014 and a son, Philip Carter, who passed away on May 26, 2014.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the King Cemetery on Little Walnut Hill Road with Pastor Roger Carter officiating. There will be no visitation.
