Jesus welcomed home Francis E. Cain on July 20, 2018.
He was born in Big Bend, WV on January 5, 1925. Graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1941. Francis served the United States in the Army Air-force from 1943 to 1946. After his service to our country, he attended Glenville State College, Potomac State College and West Virginia University. He received a BS in Agronomy and a Masters Degree in Animal Husbandry from WVU.
During the two years he attended Potomac State, he met and married Donna Warrenfeltz from New Creek, WV. He then returned to his beloved Calhoun County to work with the Soil Conservation Service. He purchased his Uncle Leonard Cain's, oil & gas business and built Cain Oil and Gas; as well as being a full-time farmer on the Cain Farms. He was a member of the Brooksville Baptist Church. He served as a board member of the Calhoun County Bank. He loved "Sunny Cal" and was an eternal optimist.
Francis is survived by his wife of 69 years, Donna Warrenfeltz Cain; 4 surviving children, Juanita Cain Miller and husband Jack, David Cain, Susan Cain Hall and husband Butch, Laura Cain Stump and husband, Mark; Daughter-in-law Donna Godfrey Cain; 12 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; Numerous nephews and nieces as well as great nephews and nieces; and brother, Dr Joseph Cain.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett Cain and Eva Starcher Cain; a sister Jewel Cain Siegrist; a son, Dean John Cain; and a great grandson, Skylar Adriano.
A Celebration of Francis' life will be held for family, friends, and community on Saturday, August 18th, 4-6 p.m. at the Brooksville Baptist Church picnic pavilion.

Francis is smiling his big, beautiful smile as he is getting the tour of heaven with our Redeemer. He lived a BIG life and has left a great legacy of faith, optimism, generosity, family, service, and much more. Family and friends miss him but rejoice in his homecoming!
