Leon Minney age 80 of Glenville, WV departed this life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport WV, following an extended illness.
He was born January 17, 1938 in Glenville, Leon is the son of the late Ezra and Josephine Stull Minney.
Leon retired from General Motors in Elyria OH with 30 years experience. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed visiting with friends at the Cornerstone Cafe, helping his brother Tom on the farm, attending the Kanawha Drive Baptist Church and he loved caring for his nieces and nephews.
Surviving is his brother, Tom Minney and wife Nancy of Cox's Mills WV, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Along with his parents, Leon is preceded in death by 20 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 with Pastor Donnie Stout officiating. Burial will follow in the Stalnaker Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary.
